Cory Barlog, director of God of War 2, has returned to Sony Santa Monica. After jumping around in Hollywood, trying to get a Mad Max game off the ground, Barlog has returned to the studio that made him famous.

In a PlayStation.Blog post revealing his journey over the years, he says that he can't reveal what he's working on... yet. "But I can say that it is freaking huge, and it will live up to the standards that I helped establish here at SMS," he teased.

Barlog says that Sony is recruiting a team, "an Ocean's 11 kind of thing." It's likely related to the new IP teased by former Battlestar Galactica writer Michael Angeli.
