Microsoft stocks up on Xbox Fusion domains
There has been plenty of speculation about what the next Xbox will be called when it is revealed later this month by Microsoft. But a little domain digging indicates that it could be the Xbox Fusion, based on web domains that Microsoft has held for years.
There has been plenty of speculation about what the next Xbox will be called when it is revealed later this month by Microsoft. But a little domain digging indicates that it could be the Xbox Fusion, based on web domains that Microsoft has held for years.
Fusible reports Microsoft owns XboxGold.com, XboxNext.com and XboxFusion.com. The latter, also has co.uk, .info, .de, and .biz variants, although the more familiar .net is unregistered. Fusion has been speculated as the name before, and Microsoft has previously trademarked two names for "entertainment services" with Fusion in the title back in 2011.
Microsoft does not own domains for Xbox8.com, XboxDurango.com, and XboxInfinity.com, all names that have been speculated as possible monickers for the next-gen console.
