Star Wars: The Old Republic adding catgirls
Playable catfolk are coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic with update 2.1, BioWare has proudly revealed. As well as introducing the Cathar race, who look an awful like humans wearing bad facepaint, the 'Customization' update will let players redesign their character's looks and recolour their armour.

If fancy a spot of trick-or-treating, you'll be able to change existing characters to Cathar at 2.1's new Appearance Designer Kiosk. "This is going to allow you to change your character's eye colour, hair style, body type, even their species," said producer Cory Butler in a video update.
Here's a peek at the Cathar on the prowl:

watching this video, and the animation of the cathar... i thought to myself "they dont really sell it, just looks like humans with a different head"
which is when it hit me (and im sure this is obvious to many) a lot of the reason wow's races really look different is cause they're actually different sizes, and more importantly, they're all animated differently. i know "wow is soul-sucking / boring / unbalanced / etc) and im not agreeing or disagreeing with that. but they do know how to differentiate characters well.
TF2 does it better still, though. -
