New game releases of January 14-20

Next week's another quiet one for new releases, headlined by the rebooted DmC: Devil May Cry. Microsoft and Nintendo are keeping their downloadable releases under wraps, for reasons unknown, so we may have a pleasant surprise or two coming but for now, the highlights are DmC, scare 'em up Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, competitive Vita alarm clock Wake Up Club, and the BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition.

Saw the DmC demo out on Xbox the other day, anybody try it?

Yeah, this might be the first Ninja Theory game I fully enjoy. They seem like they really nailed it this time. Crazy air juggles combined with multiple weapon switches during one combo definitely had that DMC "flavor." Now I just can't decide between the console versions or the PC version (advertised to have 60 FPS). Hmm.

This might be their first game I don't fully enjoy, combat aside - the story looks like stupid shit.

Haha, we look for ENTIRELY different things when it comes to Ninja Theory's output.

They make games with good voice acting / cutscenes and stories - combat is their weak point and always has been, I look past it for the rest.

Heavenly Sword is criminally under rated.

How can you say the story is stupid when you have not played it yet? Still trying to figure that one out.

That's my point, that's how I know - I played the demo, I know about the franchise - dumb stuff!

PC version is usually a no-brainer. Not just for 60fps, but for the 1080p+, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, and any other graphical perks they may decide to throw in.

Why isn't this shit on PC ffs.

I might consider buying the game day 1 if they had a demo...

It's coming out a little less than 2 weeks later on PC. So, not too bad, all things considered for Capcom PC releases.

It's not really a PC game.
