Black Ops 2 planning new game modes
Black Ops 2 design director David Vonderhaar says that "several" additional modes for the game are being play-tested internally, and the developer plans to choose from among them for additional content.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 comes packed with a fair bit of content, between the campaign, multiplayer, and expanded zombie modes. But Treyarch is planning to add more modes eventually, based on some internal playtests.
Asked on Reddit (via CVG) if more game modes would be coming to the game, design director David Vonderhaar replied: "Absolutely. Although we haven't released any details, or even decided which ones, nor could I give you a count or time, we have several games modes we play in development."
It all sounds a bit hazy right now, which means that new modes could be a long way off. They certainly won't be included in the Season Pass, since its content is already mapped up and defined. But for those who plan to stick with Black Ops 2 for the long haul, you can at least be assured that something is coming eventually.

I think you'll save between $10-$30, though. Four map packs and other stuff are included in the season pass, and I think each one usually goes for $15 or $20.
But, I never get DLC (or at lest very rarely) so I don't know if I'll get it. I'm just sad that I didn't get the Nuketown Zombies map, as I've heard it's the best so far. The stock maps are meh, imo. -
Map packs have been $15 a piece for years now. All four packs would be $60. If you don't want to save $10, just buy the packs individually... they aren't forcing it on you or anything.
If you want to argue that they should be supporting their game by releasing maps for free or by releasing MORE maps instead of just 4-5 for $15, I would agree with you. Complaining about them offering a cheaper, up-front version of what they were already doing seems silly though.
