If you're picking up Assassin's Creed 3 today, you'll want to make sure you go online to download the launch-day patch. Ubisoft has detailed a big long list of things the patch fixes with its open-world murder simulator, which you'll want unless you fancy imagining that the in-game Animus itself is on the fritz and glitching out.

The patch notes explain the game shipped with a load of issues ranging from animation glitches and getting stuck to mission-halting bugs and outright crashes. Fortunately, the patch fixes them. Or the ones detailed there, at least.

Assassin's Creed 3 hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 today, then will come to Wii U on November 18 and PC on November 20. Be sure to check out Andrew's review.
