Halo 4 dev claims Spartan Ops mode longer than ODST
343 Industries has claimed that the Spartan Ops mode alone is longer than Halo 3: ODST, after Achievements raised concerns among fans that the campaign would be short.
Frustrated by the four hour campaigns offered by most modern shooters? Halo 4 wants to buck the trend. According to representatives of developer 343 Industries, the game's Spartan Ops mode alone will be longer than the entirety of Halo 3: ODST.
It all started with an Achievement list that showed the campaign consists of eight missions. Some fans worried this might mean the game is too short, but Frank O'Connor reassured fans on NeoGAF (via IGN) that the campaign is "Halo sized" as he puts it. "Number of missions has no bearing on the length of the campaign." David Ellis added that Spartan Ops is longer than ODST.
343 also announced that the Halo 4 original soundtrack will be available on October 22, featuring 15 tracks and 75 minutes of new music. The game itself is set to launch on November 6.
