The TargetQuake mod thumb_062600_targetquake_6.jpg (3675 bytes) came out over the weekend (here are some screenshots of it) and I dont think it got the attention it deserved. The mod basically takes the Quake3 engine and turns it into a sidescroller style game with an interface very similar to the game Abuse by (the now defunct) Crack.com. The mod is so cool in fact that over the weekend Christian from id Software put together his own map which you can download here. (and here are some screenshots of his map)

TQ is a sidescrolling multiplayer Q3 mod, encompassing three maps. Think of it as a map pack on its side. You can play with bots or players, in ffa or teamplay. For IRC, I'll be in #targetquake on ETG whenever I'm online, so stop by sometime.
