'Avatar Motocross Madness' trademark filed
Microsoft has filed a trademark application for "Avatar Motocross Madness," but no formal announcement has been made.
In case you haven't noticed, everything old is new again. The Motocross Madness franchise, last seen in 2000 with Motocross Madness 2, may be making a comeback. This time, though, it sounds like your Xbox Avatar will be the one popping wheelies.
Fusible reports that Microsoft filed a trademark application for "Avatar Motocross Madness" with the US Patent and Trademark Office (85590644) on April 5. The trademark covers game software and an associated Web site. It lacks further details, but the title alone seems to spell out the concept pretty explicitly.
As always, it's important to keep in mind that trademarks don't necessarily mean a product will come to market. It does, however, mean Microsoft is considering it, so don't be surprised if bike-riding caricatures show up at E3 this year.

I wonder if any ex Rainbow Studios guys are involved? Didn't THQ shut them down last year?
They've been making those same types of games for years over there (mx vs atv) but they haven't really caught on as much as the original two Motocross Madness PC games. At least from my perspective. I could be totally wrong! -
