Metal Gear Solid HD Collection releasing November 8
Konami has announced the release dates for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. North America will get the game on November 8, while Europe has to wait until February 3.
Konami has announced the North American and European release dates for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Those of you living in the US can grab the game on November 8, 2011 for $49.99. Unfortunately, Europe has to wait until February 3rd, 2012. That extra three months is the time it takes Snake to swim the Atlantic Ocean with a bowie knife clutched in his mouth.
The collection includes MGS2, MGS3, Peace Walker, and MSX2 games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. As previously reported, those MSX games are included as part of the "Subsistence" version of MGS3.
If somehow you require even more Metal Gear, the Limited Edition comes with special package art and a book, "The Art of Metal Gear Solid."

What was wrong with MGS2 Substance on PC? The MGS1 version lacks any filtering whatsoever and looks bland as can be, you are better off emulating the Playstation game and applying a filter plug-in. MGS2 Substance is another story entirely. It is compatible all the way up to the latest Windows 7 rev and supports every resolution your computer can provide, complete with all driver-supported bling that your video card can do.

Metal Gear Wiki says the versions included are Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (original for Japanese) Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence which will contain both Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. And Ultimate HD Collection from the UK will contain: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and a product code for downloading the Game Archives version of the original Metal Gear Solid.
