Well, now that the patch is out everyone is wondering how it performs? Mostly LPBs at this time but it will be interesting to see how HPBs like it later today.This new version is sporting the TeamFortress2 netcode so its a pretty good glimpse at the 'future' of netcodes for games. Here is the official press release, and here is the list of changes. Feel free to tell us how it goes in the comments. Huntsman will put the new CS6.5 server up later this evening once things calm down a bit. I'll also list whatever tips you gusy come up with below:
- net_graph 3/2/1/0 is the new netgraph (Thanks starless)
- fastsprites 2/1/0 toggles sprites for smoke
- max_shells # toggles the # of shells on screen.
- max_smokepuffs # toggles the # of smoke puffs on screen
- Here are some GameSpy/PingTool tabs to find new servers. (Thanks Conan Ford)
3:45 update: The Shack CSv6.5 server is now online: shugashack.com:27015. I also snapped some shots of the new HUD and the new netgraph. Also here are some shots of the new FireArms mod.
