[Original Story] Ubisoft has revealed the upcoming Peter Jackson-helmed, Stephen Spielberg-produced The Adventures of Tintin: The Movie will be getting a video game tie-in, called The Adventures of Tintin: The Game.

Based on Belgian artist Hergé's beloved graphic novel series, the game will follow the titular journalist on a cooperative adventure with other series regulars Captain Haddock and Snowy the dog. Footage in the announcement video included several bits of platforming action, including one of Tintin and Haddock trying to escape a sinking ship, as well as some vehicular sections including a motorcycle and sidecar and a sea plane.

The Adventures of Tintin is due to arrive in December for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo 3DS, developed by Ubisoft Montpellier. The movie's slated to launch on December 23.
