First in-game footage of Soul Calibur V released
Namco Bandai has sent over a new trailer for Soul Calibur V, featuring in-game footage. The fighting series is slated to continue in 2012 with a launch planned for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
With E3 2011 only a few days away, publishers are hard at work filling our inboxes with trailers for upcoming titles. Namco Bandai has joined the fray, sending over a new trailer for Soul Calibur V featuring in-game footage.
Soul Calibur V was announced early last month, and is slated to arrive on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012. The game is also expected to feature 'guest-starring' characters (as it has in the past); however, Namco Bandai has been tight-lipped about the additions. Hopefully we'll hear more next week.

omgz sf is so good u hav liek these 2 special moves u can do woop
Soul Caliber has a combo list of like 60 special moves for each character. Knowing when to employ these moves gives the game a huge amount of depth and the fact you can actually move round in 3 dimensions and knock people off rather than linearly adds a level of strategy you just don't get with SF. From a hardcore gaming level it's much more difficult to master, and if you're playing casually with friends who don't know how to play properly it's far better than the button bash fest that is casual SF.-
Well sure, casual SF is a buttom mash. But every 'casual' game is. I've clocked up over 300 hrs on SF4 alone and I can tell you for sure, there is a HECK of a lot of strategy going on when I play against good opponents.
In fact, I think most ppl would agree that out of all the fighters, SF is by far the MOST strategic, and the one least likely to have button mashers prevailing against good players.-
I disagree, the level good players can reach in Soul Calibur makes them virtually untouchable to casual players.
The possibilities afforded by strong use of guard impact and the 8-way-run system essentially allows good players to be seemingly invincible. It's actually pretty hilarious how badly I can beat down casual players - if I play seriously, they can't land a single attack on me. (Of course, this is rather unsporting, I at least try to let them get some hits in so they don't feel too bad.)
Unfortunately, the online play in IV suffers from input lag that lessens the gap considerably - if it doesn't make skilled play outright impossible. My biggest hope and expectation for V is to see the net code replaced with something that doesn't suck. If they do that and improve on the create-a-fighter even further, it will be my favorite fighting game ever made.

Damn. Don't tell me that you can absorb a hit without stun-lock. That blue-shimmer will be the downfall of this game. That's like fighting Shao Khan. He's the cheapest mother because he will absorb your hit and still come at you. And now they make every character have that ability in this game? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~
