Silent Hill: Book of Memories announced for NGP
Konami quickly announced a new game in the Silent Hill series will make its way to Sony's new, upcoming handheld platform. Other than the game's name, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, details are scant.
During a segment at its pre-E3 presentation focusing on the upcoming Silent Hill movie [timestamp 28:40 below], Konami quickly revealed a new video game is in development in the horror franchise for Sony's Next Generation Platform.
Silent Hill: Book of Memories will be exclusive to Sony's new handheld platform and will be released "later on down the road." The game appears to be so new on Konami's "to-do" list, that the logo for the game noted the game has not been "concept approved" for release by Sony.
The announcement was paired alongside the reveal of a Silent Hill HD Collection, which packages both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 for unnamed platforms. Presumably, the release will mimick that of the Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders collections, which is slated for release on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
As previously revealed, Silent Hill will continue on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in a new game entitled Silent Hill: Downpour.
