The cinematic quality of L.A. Noire is impressive to say the least, but being gamers we've also been a bit curious about the "game" part. Rockstar scratched that itch today, with the first gameplay trailer.

Check out the trailer above to see car chases, shootouts, fisticuffs, investigations, and an epic documentary-style voice-over. If you've wanted a crack at Grand Theft Auto with a healthy dose of Chinatown, this looks like a game to look forward to.

The animation and lip syncing are amazing.

  The previous trailers didn't really do it justice. It looks incredible in this one.

  It looks amazing in some places, and pretty basic and meh in others. The amazing parts are pretty impressive though.
