Rage Screens Battle for Top Spot as our Desktop Wallpaper
Today, id Software's parent-company Bethesda Softworks has released a trio of new screenshots for the upcoming title. Other than the fact that these images are most definitely staged, that the resolution isn't on-par with the game's confirmed output, and that some post-processing may have been applied: these screens are outstanding.
When it launches, id Software confirms that Rage will be locked at 60 frames per second across the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The only significant difference across all three platforms the we spotted during QuakeCon 2010 were the loading times; however, the game was still a year off from that point.
If you're itching to enter the Rage universe, an iOS on-rails shooter has been released. Mutant Bash TV is available in both standard and HD flavors.

Neither of those screens come remotely close to inciting a battle for my wallpaper spot.
