Visceral Announces Dead Space 2 "Severed" DLC

Dead Space 2 is hitting stores today, and Visceral Games has taken the opportunity to announce its first planned downloadable content for the game. The pack is titled "Severed," and includes two new chapters to the story. The announcement didn't include a date or pricing for the pack, but claims it will be coming soon to Xbox Live and PSN.

Severed will star Gabe Weller and Lexine Murdock from Dead Space Extraction. Players take control of Gabe, working as a humble Sprawl security guard when the events of Dead Space 2 begin. This makes him a silver medalist for the Worst Luck in the Galaxy award, right behind series protagonist Isaac Clarke. We'll keep an eye out for more details.

  If the game was Steam required the DLC would be cake to organize.
