Weekend Discussion

This weekend I'm in Chicago, watching Never Not Funny Live at the Congress Theater. It's a little mini-vacation of sorts.

I just knew Jimmy Pardo and his crew wouldn't make it to my neck of the woods, so I decided to come down here for a rare "outside of California" live podcast recording. If you live near the Congress, I think tickets are still available. It's $20 and it's a hilarious show.

It also works out that I have some good industry friends in town.

Now, where's the nearest deep dish pizza joint?

  • Garnett Lee: [Recovering from all things Nintendo]
  • Alice O'Connor: I think I may well end up playing Alpha Protocol this weekend, as I fancy something RPG-ish but don't like the look of most games out there right now. Above all else, though, I shall continue to loudly and obnoxiously tell everyone within earshot how poorly I am. I really am, you know.
  • Xav de Matos: [Vacationing]
  • Jeff Mattas: I'll be spending a good portion of the weekend in a dimly-lit room with headphones on playing Dead Space 2 and screaming like a little girl. (Yes, those two activities are related.)
  • Steve Watts: I might force myself to finish Dead Space Ignition in preparation for my copy of Dead Space 2 coming next week. Otherwise the weekend is all Castlevania and ilomilo, to offset gothic with cute.
  • Ozzie Mejia: I really should be prepping for my midterm, but something tells me I'm going to pop in KH: Re:coded or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood at some point.
