Eurogamer had an interview with Patrick Soderlund: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-02-the-future-of-need-for-speed-revealed-interview?page=2
"I'm not going to comment on the sales because EA has an earnings report going out next week and we will unveil sales in that meeting. What I can say is the game didn't meet our quality expectations. In order to be successful in that space, we're going to have to have a game that is really, really strong.
"Medal of Honor is to some extent judged harsher than it should be. The game is better than today's reviews are indicating."
When asked if Danger Close was at work on something, he said, "Of course. Why not? Absolutely they're working on something." When asked if there was another developer working on the Medal of Honor brand, his answer was "I can't comment."
The sales numbers came out later as 2 million for Medal of Honor: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/31225/Electronic_Arts_Beats_Q2_Expectations_Closing_Losses_Despite_Sales_Declines.php
