Call of Duty: Black Ops Trailer Heralds Launch
The launch trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops has arrived with a spectacle of gunfights, explosions and the apocalyptic sounds of The Rolling Stones' song 'Gimme Shelter' to remind us that
Cod Blops will be released for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and DS on November 9, developed by Call of Duty: World at War dev Treyarch and published by Activision.

I love how a bunch of guys at Treyarch who are working so many days an hours they don't even know what day it is anymore because they have been busting their asses on the SP for so long, are now sitting at their desks eating some awful unhealthy probably company provided gruel to save time so they don't have to go out to get food, are reading that their work is just tacked on and half assed.

Agreed, this is where Medal of Honor fell flat on its face (the SP longevity and variety, or lack thereof).
The initial teasers of Medal of Honor made it seem like it could be a more mature modern military shooter. Then the SP gameplay video came out, and I thought, "A bit janky, but workable if it's long and varied enough." Then the reviews came out, and it was revealed as 4 hours of roller-coaster scripting with ripoffs of CoD4 and MW2 mechanics.
I'm intentionally avoiding all press on this game to avoid any false impressions of it. Let the reviewers tear it a new hole by Veteran's Day.-
The SP was ok, but like you said, it copied too much from CoD4 and MW2. I honestly wish EA would quit with these formulas that they think will make a great game. I like the MP to MoH, but I don't need more Battlefield of Honor games. I don't get what these suits at EA and Activision are thinking sometimes.
