Good Old Games Giving Free Title for Accounts Created During "Beta"

7
Good Old Games will be giving users that created an account prior to September 20--when GOG was shut down and relaunched--a free copy of Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games.

The game should be added to your account in the next few days if you've been a member since the GOG public beta. If you already own Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, you'll be able to claim an alternative gift.

For all other users, GOG will be discounting the entire Strategy First catalog by 50% if purchased as a bundle for $73.82 (a savings of $74) or by 30% if you purchase individual titles. The sale will run through Friday, October 22 at 6AM EST.

I qualified for Jagged Alliance, but I'm mildly curious what the alternative gift is.

I don't know.. it is pretty popular in some areas. I know a lot of guys in Europe who were really into it. I think it had a decent cult following.

i own the big box original release. fantastic game. although normal jagged alliance is better. DG is fun for a quick couple of missions every now and then.

According to this, you can choose between Patrician III or Sacred Gold

Not sure what would happen if you already owned all three but my guess is no one but RomSteady likely has all three.

Yea, I already have all of those. :(

What's cool is that they have a list of other stuff you can pick, though.
          - Apache vs Havok (yes!)
          - Comanche vs Hokum (yes!)
          - Combat Chess (DO NOT WANT)
          - Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord (FUCK YES)
          - the three different Pro Pinball games (ehh.......)
          - Strategic Command: European Theater (no idea?)

I'm totally nabbing Combat Mission...I honestly could have sworn that I had bought it already on GOG, but I guess not? I've got it now, at least. :D
