Summarising today's press conference, Eurogamer reports that the 3DS will offer a Game Boy Virtual Console, similar to the Wii's Virtual Console, offering vintage Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance titles. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX and Super Mario Land were spotted in the lineup.

A pair of Japanese trailers were shown at the event. The first gives an overview of the 3DS, including support for Mii-like avatars--and the ability to create them from photographs--and its ability to connect with other 3DSs when in sleep mode.

The second trailer focuses on its software lineup, giving snippets of various games.
