Shack PSA: Telltale Launches Adventure Games Bundle, Helps Charity

8
Telltale Games has launched its new third-part publishing service with a $19.95 adventure game bundle. A quarter of each sale will be donated to charity.

The pack currently offers The Whispered World, Jack Keane, a King's Quest Collection packing all seven games, the first episode of Penny Arcade Adventures. Telltale's own Puzzle Agent will be added to the bundle when sales hit 5,000 and the second season of Sam & Max will follow at 10,000. At the time of writing, 980 bundles had been sold.

25% of each purchase will be donated to charity, going to Childs' Play, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, World Wildlife Fund, Nyota e.V. or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The Great Adventure Bundle 2010 will only be on sale until September 10.

If the sales hit the quotas, do people who bought at a lower number also receive the games that are added to that pack?

Yes, the two games will become unlocked on the respective targets.

=sam and max season 2 but not 1? thats just daft.

Anyway $20 is just to much. It should be 1 cent just like the humble indie bundle.

I see your point on sam and max, but tell me you're not serious about the 1 cent?

Yes, 12 "fucking" games. 12 games with budgets that are all from a dead genre or they are really old. There hasnt been a kings quest game since like 98 or something!

Old games are not necessarily bad games. I would totally buy this, except I refuse to give any money to the World Wildlife Fund.

You don't have to. You can only select one of those who you'd like to donate to.

The Humble Indie Bundle wasn't one cent, some people payed hundreds to make up for bastards like you. If everyone had payed at least 10 cents they would have doubled their profits. Well, they would have actually increased it 10 fold.

Also, Season 2 is the only one I don't have. So this is convenient for me.

The seasons get better with time anyway, I don't know that I could ever recommend Season 1. Season 3 is the first season that I actually thought was a good game, not just a decent Sam and Max revival.

          2/10. Way too easy.
