Forgive this post as it will be somewhat of a personal indulgence for a game I adore:
If you're bored of platformers scrolling from left to right as you attempt to rid the world of enemies you know to be guilty of heinous acts, we've got some news for you. The terrific indie title Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess has just landed firmly on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel, giving players a chance to chase down and destroy enemies you're pretty sure are evil. Probably.
Previously exclusive to the PSP as a Mini release, the "upwards-scrolling platformer" from developer Mediatonic is now available for download on Microsoft's home console for 240 Microsoft Points ($3).
In its transition from handheld to console, Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess has been given an expected high-def face lift and includes all content available in the original PSP release.
In Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess, players take on the role of "The Duke" who must face-off against enemies he's fairly certain kidnapped the love of his life. There isn't any evidence of this, but someone is to blame and The Duke is going to get to the bottom of it. Check out more at the game's official website.
