DICE Teasing Surprise at Gamescom 2010

DICE is starting the hype machine for Gamescom 2010 by promising "something great" at the show this year. This doesn't narrow it down, but I like to hope that we'll be seeing the formal announcement of Battlefield 3.

The timing would makes sense as beta access for Battlefield 3 has already been announced as a pack-in bonus for the limited edition of Electronic Arts' Medal of Honor, though the project has not been officially announced.

It's also possible that it is related to the Medal of Honor multiplayer component or the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion. Everyone help out and think good thoughts about Battlefield 3 with me.

  We presume this means we'll see Battlefield 3 for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 as the beta details mention Xbox Live Gold being a requirement for Xbox 360 users.

  I would be fine with Battlefield 3 for PC and Battlefield 3: Modern Combat or something like that for consoles.
