The more I see of this game, the more it looks like a cross between Test Drive Unlimited's open-world driving and PlayStation Home avatar and apartment management. I'm very curious to see how this actually turns out.
Beta sign-ups are currently open for all three platforms (PC, PS3, Xbox 360).

Heh. I like the idea of having another aspect to a racing game... that isn't racing. Racing and FPS games are ones that I tend to only play for an hour, then I need a break. Probably something with the intensity and focus I put into them. By having some sort of alternate fluff gameplay, I expect I can spend awhile doing that to relax a bit and then go back into racing around thereby spending more time in the game.
