Lead and Gold Gets Dedicated Server Support

A new product update has been released for the team-based shooter, Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West. Chief amongst the list of updates is news that the game now supports dedicated servers.

The complete list of updates follows:.

New dedicated servers support added. They contain many new features, including:

  • Map-cycles can now be defined
  • Games can be password protected
  • Specify max ping allowed for entering a server
  • Auto kick idle players added
  • Friendly fire can be turned on/off
  • Administrators specified with password or steam-id
  • In-game console available for administrators. (kick/ban/change map cycle/list users)
  • Players can be banned or kicked from server using steam-id
  • Server stores log of actions happening in game, including chat messages
  • New leader-boards have been added. (kill streak, most exp per match, matches won, matches lost)
  • Message of the day shown when entering server
  • Ping can now be seen in score-board
  • Server name can now be seen in score board
  • Server version can be seen in main menu
  • Server browser shows some extra info on dedicated servers
  • All servers are displayed in the server browser (full and empty)
  • The dedicated exe runs without Lead and Gold client installed. No steam account needed to run
  • The dedicated exe runs on machines without sound card or advanced graphics card

      This game would probably be better on a console than PC.

        no way, the aim is too fine, and the game is too fast as close range to be able to play it with a gamepad effectively.

          You do realize they could re-tune it, yes? Ultimately it will always come down to player preference, but they COULD modify the game to work just fine on both.
