Scott Pilgrim Game Media Shows Beat 'em Up Fun

A round of E3 Scott Pilgrim vs. the World screenshots and a trailer have arrived to offer a jolly good look at the video game adaptation of the movie adaptation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's acclaimed comic book series.

Our resident Scott Pilgrim fanboy Chris Faylor squeezed in a little playtime at E3 and gushes that he "was charmed by its faithfulness to the license and beat 'em up genre."

Developed by Ubisoft's Chengdu and Montreal studios, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is scheduled for a downloadable PlayStation 3 release on August 10--three days before the movie opens. An Xbox Live Arcade version will follow at an unspecified date.

This reminded me of that Guitar Hero cereal toy thing from Idle Thumbs 43... "It's a toy guitar of a toy guitar!"

  Hilariously enough I was in a grocery store and they had a case of Vernor's Ginger-Ale...and it had the wizard on it. I almost bought it...but 24 cans is a lot of fucking ginger-ale.
