Portal 2 Confirmed for PlayStation 3; Supports Steam Cloud & Auto-Updates
"When the PlayStation 3 was introduced, I was the one of the platform's biggest critics," said Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve. "However, Sony Computer Entertainment has proved that the PlayStation 3 is the most open platform of all the current generation consoles and has worked extremely hard to make the platform the most desirable for consumers and developers. As such, we are delighted to announce Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 and believe the Steamworks support included will make it the best console version of the game," Newell said.
Portal 2 will be released for the PlayStation 3 alongside the PC, Mac, and Xbox 360 versions of the game. The PlayStation 3 version of Portal 2 will be the only console version to include Steamworks support.

For what exactly? The quote saying the PS3 version is going to be the best version? If so, I completely agree. That is a retarded statement, especially coming from the guy who has hated on the PS3 more than me. Also, I don't see how integrating Steamcloud is going to be of any benefit. I'm n ot complaining about Portal 2 coming to PS3, I just hate how they think they have to make it "Superior" for people to buy it, while simultaniously rubbing it in our faces. I think he alienated his PC gamer base by saying that. If ANYTHING, the PC version should be the ultimate version, as it was the PC that was their financial teat that feed their fledgling company until it grew into the fully grown behemoth they are today. That was a very, VERY stupid thing for Gabe to do Tisk, tisk, tisk... (btw, I am mainly an Xbox 360 gamer)
