As developer BioWare and partner LucasArts continue to pull back the curtain on Star Wars: The Old Republic, companion characters and Advanced Classes for the Sith Warrior are the latest aspects of the PC MMO to be unveiled.

Those playing the role of a Sith Warrior will have two Advanced Classes to choose from: the defense-heavy Juggernaut or the more offensive-oriented Marauder.

Meanwhile, players of all types will be joined by various companion characters--"from intelligent droids to bizarre aliens, from an honorable princess to a roguish pirate"--throughout their quests, with each class getting its own companions.

The first massively multiplayer game from Dragon Age and Mass Effect creator BioWare, Star Wars: The Old Republic is "targeting a spring 2011 release."
