How exactly are publisher 505 Games and veteran music game developer Zoe Mode planning to transform cultural sensation Grease into an interactive video game?

By making it an "exciting dancing/singing party game," 505 Games explained today.

Specifically, the Wii rendition supports "up to two USB Nintendo compatible microphones and the Wii Balance Board" for a variety of mini-games, including karaoke, dancing and racing. On the other hand, the Nintendo DS version packs "16 memorable song compositions and choreographed dance steps" plus the ability for players to put "their face to their favorite character" thanks to the Nintendo DSi's built-in camera.

"Grease: The Game is not just a game for parties; it's a game that's an excuse for a party," said 505 Games, adding that the party, as it were, kicks off in September 2010.
