Various downloadable content packs have already been announced, depending on where the game is purchased. They include the Made Man Pack, Vegas and War Hero Packs (GameStop), Renegade Pack (Amazon), and Greaser Pack (Best Buy). Screenshots of the aforementioned Made Man, Vegas, and War Hero DLC are available below, for your viewing pleasure. As previously reported, the Made Man Pack comes with the Collector's Edition of Mafia II.

The second batch of screenshots and the subsequent trailer focus on the resulting implementation of NVIDIA PhysX technology and APEX particle effects. In short, breaking glass, explosions, clothing and weapon effects all look top-notch.

While the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will all include the particle-friendly PhysX tech, the press release implies a slight edge for the PC version, stating: "Particularly, the Windows PC version of Mafia II will feature a thorough integration of NVIDIA PhysX and 3D Vision technology into 2K Czech's Illusion Engine."

Mafia II is due out on August 24 in North America, followed by an international release on August 27.
