Walmart Launches Updated Video Game Online Store

1
Walmart has just launched Gamecenter (no relation to Shacknews parent company GameFly's mobile application GameCenter), an updated online storefront for featured video games.

Along with offering pre-order deals, sales, and bonuses, Gamecenter promises "great content you won't find anywhere else, it's the place for game trailers, sneak-peeks, interviews and more."

Initial deals include a $20 eGift card (store credit to Walmart.com) with a pre-order of Call of Duty: Black Ops, buy 2 get 1 free on select Xbox 360 Platinum Hits and bargain bin games, and a $50 eGift card with a pre-order of three Xbox 360 or PS3 games.

Featured content typically includes a brief "introduction video" and a trailer. Some games like UFC Undisputed 2010 include an "exclusive" interview and gameplay footage.

What a fucking joke. Ads within ads. "Price rollbacks" of $1.03. Like there aren't enough online stores for console games already.
