PixelJunk Shooter 2 Announced

Q Games and Sony have announced PixelJunk Shooter 2, the follow-up to the original game released in December 2009 via the PlayStation Network.

Two pieces of concept artwork have been released and can be seen below: Shooter puts players in subterranean vehicles attempting to rescue scientists, while playing with the dynamic relationship between water, magma, and other elemental forces.

Not much is known about the sequel, but Q Games president Dylan Cuthbert claims the company "won't make a Shooter 3 because everything and the kitchen sink (probably quite literally) is going into Shooter 2."

No release date or window has been revealed at this time. To celebrate, Q Games will be releasing a free demo of Cuthbert's favorite level from the original PixelJunk Shooter on May 25th.

I'm surprised they are doing a sequel right away over a new PJ Monsters, that seems to be the one everyone likes best.

I forgot to grab Shooter when it was on sale for 5 bucks :(

    Seconding you VGZ. Shooter is my favorite. Shooter > Eden > Monsters > Racers, as far as I am concerned.
