Alan Wake Screenshots, Art Herald Release

13
With Max Payne developer Remedy's "psychological action thriller" Alan Wake finally set to arrive in a matter of weeks, publisher Microsoft has released a new round of screenshots and assorted behind-the-scenes glimpses of the game's development.

Alan Wake will be released exclusively for Xbox 360 on May 14 in Europe then May 18 in North America. Buying a new copy will net you the first downloadable content for free.

The once-certain PC version is no longer on its way, reduced to a vague possibility that Remedy "would love to see" but hasn't planned and that would first require a "sit down" with Microsoft to "see where the title goes," which seems none too fond of the idea.

We've been getting to know Alan here and will have a review for you in the near future.

Why even mention the PC version stuff in the article? It's just troll bait.

Indeed. This title has pissed me off. I REALLY wanted this for PC, but no, I have to have it for a console I don't own and won't buy. Way to capture all those dollars.

It's one of those titles probably best run on the PC, but microsoft has a hard-on for its 360 and DLC $$$.

Because not everyone follows every single video games going-on so it's worth repeating, plus it's interesting and relevant.

True. To a regular shacker it's just seen as boomer bile.

Whats wrong with saying how much MS sucks if there is a good opportunity?

I remember quotes to the effect of: "You won't be able to play Alan Wake on Windows XP. You will have to have Windows Vista and DX10". Hmpf.
