Little has been revealed about Crysis 2 so far (beyond the screenshots above), but we know the title is headed to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year, in addition to the expected PC version.

Heh, "expected PC version". What makes you so sure?

Well, here's hoping they fit in a true skill set, instead of "everyone should be playing the game on the hardest setting; otherwise we'll make all of the enemies ultra-armored to the point where it's impossible to run-and-gun". I know that Crysis was supposed to be a stealth game, but the way it was set up, you either needed to expend an entire silenced clip or half an unsilenced clip to take down enemies, or you were dead in four seconds because you were playing on Delta and not using the mandatory "cloak, silenced headshot, cloak, silenced headshot" gameplay sequence.

Eh?
I had no problem playing the game the way I wanted to. I would frequently use speed to charge into groups of enemies and knock them down, and either shoot them while they're down or switch to strength and bash 'em all dead.
Or use strength mode and lob random heavy objects at them (which conveniently causes them to scurry away in fear). Of course, I would use Speed to dodge bullets as I chased down my targets.
Cloaking is most definitely quite useful, but the mobility of speed and the sheer deadly power of strength just requires a bit more ingenuity to get you through Delta.
(Also, for the record, with the default rifle it only takes two unsilenced shots to kill regular soldiers. Not so much for the nanosuited enemies, which were ridiculous, but still.)
