The latest open-world skateboarding playground takes place in the fictional city of Port Carverton, and the upcoming demo will let players sample said city's University District and try out both single and multiplayer challenges, such as Domination, Own the Lot, and Hall of Meat.

The demo also includes a brand new training mode called "Skate.School," and even the ability to edit the demo's playable area using the game's new "object-dropper" and twenty-four different skate-worthy objects. In true SKATE-series form, players can even capture demo footage using the in-game replay editor, and share their sick runs (or wicked face-plants) online via "Skate.Reel."

SKATE 3 shreds its way onto the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on May 11, 2010, followed by a worldwide release on May 14.
