The difference, I think, is that AA was not associated with any movie whatsoever. It stood on its own without riding on the coattails of The Dark Knight. Sure, TDK brought some attention indirectly to AA, but first and foremost the developers sought to make an excellent and original Batman game. These two Iron Man games on the other hand tie directly into their movie counterparts.
I'd personally love an Iron Man game designed like Prototype, or Crackdown.

Call me crazy but I rather enjoyed the first Iron Man game
It wasnt perfect but it was playable and mostly entertaining
I'll give this game a try as well-
I made it about halfway through the game and kept getting disk read errors :( The disk has no scratches, and my 360 doesn't have any issues whatsoever with other games.
