Doom 2 RPG Brings Hell to iPhone

6
id Software has released Doom II RPG--sequel to the 2005 mobile turn-based shooter RPG Doom RPG--for iPhone, available in a 46.4MB download from iTunes for $3.99.

The masters of Doom have released a flurry of titles for Apple's popular portable pocket-fillers, from straight ports of old favourites with Wolfenstein 3D and Doom Classic to new titles in vintage properties such as Wolfenstein RPG and Doom Resurrection.

id technical wizard John Carmack revealed last year that the developer was also planning ports of Quake, Quake 2 and Quake 3: Arena for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

On the PC front, id remains silent on Doom 4 and Rage aside from the recent announcement that fellow ZeniMax Media subsidiary Bethesda will publish Rage.

Android ? Nexus One has far superior processor and would run it better than iphone 3gs, Motorola Droid would run it as good as the iphone

Considering they both run OGL ES 2.0 I'm sure that would make it easier to port over, but:

What is the market penetration like for the Nexus One vs the older and chuggier droid phones? In terms of getting versions iterated to a new device from one with an established market share and popular app store, I think it will take a while to convince developers.
