In a slightly belated celebration of the new year, the online PlayStation Store is now offering half-off a variety of downloadable PlayStation 3 and PSP games.

There's no demo for Braid so I've been reluctant to buy it. Is it worth the hype?

At that price, definitely. Even if you don't get into it, it's really cool to see his design ideas (it was made by one guy). Very original game.

I'd say it's not worth it.

At $14.99, you kind of have to buy into the hype. It's about a 3-4 hour game, and doesn't have significant replay value.
      At $7.49, its a no-brainer.

      YES.

You should've bought it for $2.50 during the Steam holiday sale.

Very hard to quantify as people have vastly different likes such as those who think Little Big Planet was fun and those that think that Derek Smart makes good games. Some people just don't want to have to put much thinking into their gaming. If you agree to the first two and like a more cerebral experience than it's worth a look.
