A new gameplay trailer called 'Electro Shock' has arrived, showing off a bit of the action in BioShock 2, complete with a Gatling gun arm attachment, "electrifying" plasmid usage, and the subtle art of punching people in the grill. Calling the footage 'dark' and 'chaotic' is bit of an understatement.
BioShock 2 is due out for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on February 9, 2010.

This video is PAINFUL to watch. Not because its looks bad or un-fun, but because its obvious its being played on a console with a controller. It FEELS like it being viewed from the seat of some disney ride, pivoting along a single axis on every turn, completely lacking in any nimbleness or agility.

Yeah, it's painful, with the "Press X to not be out of ammo, dumbass" text and the player walking straight into the splicer and NOT ATTACKING them.
Not holding out much hope for them to give the PC version any custom control scheme love. They set the bar pretty low with Bioshock 1 having un-disable-able mouse acceleration and a drifting dynamic sensitivity that made it impossible to acclimate to the game's sensitivity curve.-

Agreed; the acceleration curve seemed to make the mouse dart off in unpredictable directions, and the acceleration curve seemed to change as you moved the mouse faster. It was almost like the curve was slowing down if it saw really fast input. In the retail release version, I had to use this to my advantage to tone down the mouse acceleration by cranking up the sensitivity, shaking the mouse all over the place really quickly, then tuning it down to a sane level. After the patch that "fixed the mousecode", I don't have to do that drill, but there's still mouse acceleration when I don't want any mouse acceleration.
