Having previously stated that FIFA 10 represented its best European launch ever, publisher Electronic Arts today revealed a downloadable expansion for the game and further detailed the "record sales pace" of EA Canada's latest soccer effort.
Coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February, the "Ultimate Team" add-on brings more options for squad management and training, including "a completely redesigned chemistry system built around player relationships on the pitch" plus the ability to buy, sell or trade players to help create the titular ultimate team.
In the announcement, Electronic Arts billed the download as "a deeper, more authentic, more dynamic version of the game mode successfully introduced last year."
The company further named FIFA 10 as "the highest rated sports game ever on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360" and "the top selling game overall in Europe in 2009," with first-week European sales of 1.7 million having made it "the fastest-selling sports videogame in the world" and
more than 4.5 million units having now been sold worldwide. The latter figure represents a 26% increase over the same period last year.
EA also trumpeted "new franchise records for online play," with a total of 113 million online matches having been played as of November 30 and a daily average of 3 million online matches, based on data from October 1 through November 19, 2009.

I'm tired of penelties that are saved being counted as goals, being unable to change your squad before a game in 2 player, being kicked out of the FA cup even when I won the game, losing games when I scored more penelties...I mean what the hell?! Who on earth quality tested this?!
You are making a football game and you can't even programme a basic "this number of goals is higher than this number"!
Maybe spend the cash they made on this on fixing the PC version?-
It's EA, look at Madden/NCAA (american) football... they're utter grabage, they don't fix anything from year to year, they never release patches to fix anything, they just don't care. When you corner the market on popular sports games with bullshit "exclusives" like EA has done with Madden/NCAA you can't exoect them to care. I own NCAA and Madden, and damn was that mistake.. pretty bad when previous years are better than current ones. If any EA Tiburon programmers see this, FUCK YOU FOR YOUR POS TRASH GAME.

If you are playing these games on the PC then you must definitely try PES. It has a TON of option files that put in every possible league and every possible team. It's kind of scary how good some of them are and it gives you the best footy experience possible. Especially since the FIFA PC version is a separate development team from the consoles and is widely regarded at being borderline deplorable.
