Star Trek Online developer Cryptic Studios has released the second part of its space combat trailer series, this time touching on the MMORPG's Star Wars: X-Wing-style energy management, as well as boarding enemy ships to disrupt their systems.

Currently in closed beta, Star Trek Online will receive a two-week open beta in January before launching for PC in North America on February 2 then Febuary 5 in Europe.

        Agreed, it doesn't fit the context at all. I don't care if its becoming an MMO standard, it just looks crappy in a space battle.

        Indeed, like any MMO. A non issue, from my perspective. MMOs attract people who WANT to see how much damage they're doing, and this is a convenient way of seeing it without going back over the logfile later.

          Just in general, that certainly doesn't help things. It looks like they are just going cookie cutter wow in space.

          Back when Perpetual Entertainment had the game it looked good it look like what a Star Trek fan would want to play. Now it just looks.. meh.

      This is the least of the games problems. Most likely you can even shut it off. I'm worried about the boring ass looking game play.
