Wii Price Cut Rumors Pick Up Steam
The advertisement--spotted by a Kotaku tipster--allegedly comes from Toys R Us, which pegs the new price at $199. The system has retailed for $249 since its launch in 2006.
The advertisement is supposedly due to hit the papers on the week of September 27.
Both Microsoft and Sony cut the price of their high-end consoles to $300 in August.

There isn't a reason for me to support my Wii this holiday season. There just aren't any high quality games that garner any interest from me. The PC, 360, and PS3 all have super-high-quality games coming out this holiday and the Wii really loses out.
Halo: ODST, CoD MW:2, Aion, Demon Souls, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Brutal Legend, Dragon's Age, L4D2, and many more are so much better than any Wii game coming out this holiday.
