THQ Dates Red Faction: Guerilla PC, Lists Specs

The PC version of Volition's explosion-laden shooter Red Faction: Guerrilla will now arrive on September 15 in North America, according to publisher THQ. The international release will take place four days earlier on September 11.

Red Faction was released on consoles during the first week of June. The PC port, expected to see a delay to late summer, was originally pegged for an August 25 showing. THQ also released the minimum and recommended specs for the game, which can be perused below:

Minimum:

OS: Windows XP / Vista
CPU: 2.0 GHz Dual-Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
Memory: 1GB RAM / 15GB of Hard Drive space
Video Card: 128MB 3D Video Card with Shader Model 3.0 Support (Nvidia GeForce 7600/ATI Radeon X1300)

Recommended:

OS: Windows Vista for DirectX 10
CPU: 3.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
Memory: 2GB RAM / 15GB of Hard Drive space
Video Card: 256MB 3D Video Card with Shader Model 3.0 Support (Nvidia GeForce 8800/ATI Radeon HD3850)

After the horror of Saints Row 2, I'm staying away from this one. Not sure if it's Volitions own port or not, but SR2 was so horrendously done, it's keeping me well away from this :(

  SR2 port and RF:G port were done by completely separate companies. Still, wait and see is a good approach here, given the history.

  a shame to think that this was the same company that gave us freespace 1/2, probably the last best space sim

  LOL look at those specs, I'm glad I can almost run it at recommended, 3.0Ghz not 3.2Ghz tho =[ Still, I bet it would run like shit...

    What's to LOL about. That's basically a respectable mid-range gaming PC from almost 3 years ago.
    
    It remains to be seen how optimized the game is however. Those specs can go a long way, but only if you use them properly.

      Uhh no.. 3.2 GHz is defintely NOT a mid-range gaming machine from 3 years ago, maybe a year at most.
