A trailer and new screenshots of Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 show largely the same goods: female flesh, oversized weapons, and a hefty dose of ultraviolence.

Not just a PlayStation 3 port of the Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden 2, Sigma adds two-player co-op challenge missions, new enemies and three busty new playable characters. The new trailer stars one such lady, Ninja Gaiden 2's non-playable Rachel.

Nintendo made the surprise announcement at E3 that Team Ninja is developing the next installment of the Metroid series, Metroid: Other M.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is schedule for release on PlayStation 3 in the fall.

What makes me temporarily sad is that I'll probably get this despite already owning Ninja Gaiden 2.

Strange that they they are not releasing some of the 'updates' to the 360 version also.

Not really, they did the same thing with Ninja Gaiden 1. Once again the PS3 gets the best version of Ninja Gaiden and 360 users are left in the dark.

Black was better than sigma. Better balance, not censored (no head decaps in Sigma), and better Karma scoring. Sigma was pretty in HD though.

That's because Itagaki, love him or hate him, is a better designer than Hayashi with a better attention to detail.

Outside of extra characters and the co-op mission mode, the game itself seems to have features I wouldn't want changed, such as lesser violence and decapitiation. This is not becuase I am a sadist or anything, but the reason that NG2 was so thrilling to play despite the blander level layout was the horrific ninja violence, it was a sight to behold to watch ryu decapitation a room of 30 ninjas and walk out with the dead bodies and blood pools everywhere. It was very "Ninja Scroll".

I will play it, but I have a feeling I will prefer the original vision.

I will also. To me, this is like having both MGS and Twin Snakes, both have good things in their own way. The only difference is what Sony fanboys will say that both their versions are better.
