Shack PSA: Halo 3 Mythic Map DLC Now Available

11
As it's been about two and a half weeks since we learned that the Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack was due today, it's probably a good time to remind you that the DLC is now out.

The 800 Microsoft Point ($10) add-on brings three new multiplayer maps into Bungie's Xbox 360-only shooter. Orbital and Assembly are more traditional offerings, while Sandbox is a large open arena just ripe for customization via the Forge map editor.

Love to know how they justify this weak ass DLC support. How long has Helo 3 been out now?

Fallout 3 already has 2 fucking DLCs available.

to be fair, Fallout's DLC releases haven't exactly been without their share of issues

This is like the 4th or 5th map pack, isn't it? the DLC support has been pretty strong compared to most other FPS games. I haven't played H3 in forever though, so I probably won't be getting this.

This is the 3rd map pack and the second map pack contained 2 map remakes.

I believe this is the 4th as I'm pretty sure I have 2 (which began paid and since became free) and there was still a paid one I didn't have prior to this one. Plus you have to consider the amount of playtesting/balancing required for multiplayer maps vs linear singleplayer campaigns like the FO3 DLC.

There have been 3 remakes, iirc, of which two were free. Blackout and Chill Out (remake) were free. Avalanche came in the Mythic map pack.

They do a lot of cool stuff with the games modes though too. Like double XP weekend stuff and 7 on 7.

^^^ This. Bungie seems to have unmatched support when it comes to keeing their matchmaking modes fresh and new.
