Publisher Eidos has issued a trailer for the second Xbox 360-exclusive downloadable episode for Tomb Raider: Underworld, due March 10 for 800 Microsoft Points ($10).

Dubbed Lara's Shadow, the download has players controlled the doppelganger that pestered them thoughout the main campaign of the action-adventure. But while she looks like Lara, she plays differently, moving faster and relying more on melee combat.

I haven't really touched this series since like Tomb Raider 2, but I really hated that game. It was too much exploring in caves that were bland and had no detail in them. Far too little action with far too many switches. So based on this rant, has the series changed much? Or is it pretty much the same but with shiner graphics?

More gun use, still exploring caves and stuff but it's more fun. Having played Tomb Raider 2 & 3 when they came out, I would say the new series are much easier. The gun use seems out of place sometimes. But the new ones have been solid games.

The controls have improved dramatically starting with Legend. Gone are the days of pulling your hair out just trying to get Lara pointed in the right direction for a jump. The difference is nearly as dramatic as going from the tank controls and horrible static camera angles from the old Resident Evil games to the full camera control and aiming of RE4.
