CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars Announced

5
Ubisoft today announced CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars (360, PS3), a first-person, downloadable multiplayer shooter by CellFactor creators Immersion Games.

Gamers may remember CellFactor as the physics-powered game used to show off the power of the Aegia PhysX line of physics processors. That game was eventually released for free as CellFactor: Revolution. While physics effects were not specifically emphasized in the announcement, the primary feature of CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars will be telekinetic powers, which players can use to throw objects at enemies, or create bullet-proof energy shields.

A multiplayer shooter, the game will feature four modes: Death Match, Capture the Flag, Team Death Match and Assault. A single-player campaign with 30 challenges will also be included.

CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars is expected in early 2009 on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

I remain unconvinced. At least there is some sense of irony with Ship Simulator.

How is Ship Simulator crappy and uninspired? Just because you have no interest in the genre, doesn't make it a crappy game. There ARE people out there who play this game and love it.

        Myself included.

I have nothing against the simulation genre, but seriously, ship simulation? extreme? really?

You obviously have never captained a ship in a storm. It's not a joyride and it's pretty dangerous.

Well I play Virtual Skipper almost every day and love it. Not so fond of the Ship Simulator series, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be taken seriously as a good simulator or game. There's also train simulators and what not simulators. People like different things.

Extreme on the other hand points out different conditions the simulation takes place as it shows in the trailers. So not really something to bash or make fun of.
