New Kojima Site Teases 'A Next Metal Gear'
The site text reads, "A Next Metal Gear Is..." and includes a series of bright green images (left).
The final green image in the sequence appears to resemble the Xbox 360 power button icon at first glance--though the icon itself is a standard power-related image used across many platforms. The "i" could also be a reference to either the iPhone, the Wii, or the upcoming Nintendo DSi.
The teased game could turn out to be anything from a new title in the Metal Gear Solid Ac!d series to an Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Solid 4.
Rumors of an eventual Xbox 360 port of Kojima's Metal Gear Solid 4 continued to circulate following the game's June release on PlayStation 3. In October, Konami PR representative Yoshitaka Arai reportedly told Japanese business journal Kabushiki, "We are investigating releasing a 360 version." The quote was quietly removed from the story a day later.
Publisher Konami has consistently denied rumors of an Xbox 360 version of the game, while Microsoft has consistently proclaimed its obvious desire for one.

that doesn't make any sense. Gears is published by Microsoft. MGS is owned and published by Konami, not Sony. The chance of Gears showing up on PS3 is pretty much zero unless Microsoft decides to dump one of their most lucrative publishing deals. It's also entirely possible that they own the Gears property themselves. The Konami/Sony relationship is nowhere near the same thing

MS actually only made a contract for 2 first 2 Gears games. Luke Smith commented on this back when he was doing the 1up yours podcast and I have seen it mentioned on other sites also. So in theory Gears 3 could come out on PS3. However, MS would probably pay an arm, leg, a liver and a still beating heart for it not to go multiplatform, and hammer out out a new exclusivity deal with Epic for the rights (with Epic having the whip hand all right).
